(Also for those who want a tip, that blessing you unlock that shows the entire map when you find the exit that you can select from your Supplies is a GODSEND.) Mostly because (this is spoilerish about the actual mechanics, but not about the story or anything) you need a *lot* of gold to finish with a gold token, and the Wrath's can and will outright surround cards, leaving you with no choice but to take a 1/4th chance just to not take damage, possibly multiple times in a row, just for your shot at any cards in your deck. People like Zombie will always wail that DLC is inherently poor, but when it's developers legitimately using it as a way to support their game after launch as opposed to cutting content before the game is even finished to sell later, I think it's a great use of the medium.Īnyway, I came in here to give a mite of feedback actually I finished the DLC with all 13 Riddles and Gold Token'ed it, so I feel I should at least know a bit of what i'm talking about here I did quite enjoy this DLC, but I wasn't necessarily a fan of the whole "Igna's Wrath" (I'm probably using the wrong name, but you know what i'm talking about) mechanic. I have to say, after how great you guys supported HOF1 and then after watching how well you've supported HOF2, I bought this almost immediately. The feeling of "missing out" of features that should be in the base game makes me either:Ī) Hold off buying until there is a "Game of the Year" edition.ī) Never ever buy a game from a publisher/dev that ascribes to the DLC model. I hate the DLC model of any and all games, and personally I hardly ever support it. #Hand of fate 2 outlands and outsiders free#Why isn't the base price set appropriately and release free expansions? Surely if more people buy the base game, that is your revenue stream? We're pretty happy with the value proposition we're offering the community. This is on top of the fact that the core campaign will take you about 40-60 hours to complete. #Hand of fate 2 outlands and outsiders mod#Outlands & Outsiders has come out 8 months after HoF2 launched, and in that time we've also put out a free new companion, free mod tools, free Endless Mode and an additional enemy faction. HoF1's paid DLC, Wildcards, released 2 months after the release of the original game. jeeez why?Īnd to the fanboys who say "It's new content! It has to be good!" - you want this to go the way of Paradox and Ubisoft.īecause we want to continue to support the game we love, and we need money to live. And I was seriously considering buying this one. Цитата допису zombie:I loved the first Hand of Fate.
